Who it suits, and who it doesn't.

Grants mostly fund something new: equipment, a new product or R&D, exporting, hiring, energy upgrades, or a shopfront fit-out.

Usually a good fit

  • Victorian companies (Pty Ltd) trading 2+ years, with around 5 to 19 staff and $250k to $10m turnover. That profile clears the rules of most grants.
  • Businesses with a real project and the cash to put in their share. Many grants pay half the cost.
  • Funded sectors: manufacturing, defence supply chain, food, wine and agrifood, tourism, clean energy.
  • Shopfront retailers and venues in a council with an open round, whatever your structure.

Usually not a fit (yet)

  • Sole traders with no staff, unless a council or industry grant fits. We'll say so up front and point you to the options that do.
  • Businesses under 12 months old wanting cash grants. Free programs and mentoring come first.
  • Money for running costs or debts. Most grants fund new projects.
  • Anyone who wants a guaranteed grant. The funder decides.

Nothing to pay unless you win.

It's free to check and free to apply. If you win, our fee is 12% of the grant money you receive, capped at A$3,000 + GST, and due once the money is in your account.

Worked example: a $7,500 grant
Shortlist, eligibility check and full application$0
Grant approved and paid to your business$7,500
Our fee, 12% of the grant received$900 + GST
If the grant isn't approved$0

Where a funder doesn't allow percentage fees

A flat win-only fee applies instead: A$99 for grants up to $5,000, $750 up to $15,000, $1,500 up to $50,000, and $2,500 over $50,000. We confirm which applies in writing before we start.

Founding prices for our first clients. Fees are plus GST. Most grant rules don't let a success fee count as a project cost, so it's paid from your own funds once the grant money arrives. No upfront or admin fees. Help with your first report after a win is included; anything beyond that is optional and quoted first.

Founding clients wanted. We're taking on a small number of Victorian businesses first. Their results, good and bad, will be published here once the outcomes are in. No made-up testimonials.

What we promise, and what we won't.

No guarantees
Most grants are competitive and the funder decides. Anyone who promises a grant isn't being straight with you.
You're the applicant
You sign the declarations and submit. We never sign for you, and we never lobby councils or officials.
Independent
Not affiliated with any government or council. Every listing on this site is free.
Not advice
Not legal, tax or financial advice, and no R&D Tax Incentive or other tax claims. Ask your accountant about tax on grant income.

Find out what your business qualifies for.

Just send your business name or website. We look up the rest ourselves and only ask a follow-up question if we must.

Questions, answered straight.

Do you submit the application for me?

We do the work; you press submit. We check eligibility, write every answer, build the budget and check the attachments. You read the finished application, sign the declarations and submit it in the funder's portal, usually in about 10 minutes. The application is in your business's name and we never sign anything for you. If a funder's rules expressly allow an agent to lodge, we can do it with your written OK after you've approved the final version.

How much does it cost?

Nothing unless you win. Your shortlist and eligibility check are free. If a grant we prepared is approved, our fee is 12% of the grant money you actually receive, capped at A$3,000 + GST, and due only once the money is in your account. For example, a $7,500 grant means a $900 + GST fee. Some grants don't allow percentage fees; for those it's a flat win-only fee: A$99 for grants up to $5,000, $750 up to $15,000, $1,500 up to $50,000 and $2,500 above that. We confirm which fee applies in writing before we start.

Can the success fee come out of the grant?

Usually not. Most grant rules don't let consultant or success fees count as a project cost, so you pay it from your business's own funds once the grant is approved. We'll check the rules for each grant and tell you before we start.

Who qualifies for the most grants?

In our analysis of the grants we track, a Victorian Pty Ltd company trading for 2+ years with 5 to 19 staff and a co-funded project qualifies for the most. Sole traders without staff qualify for far fewer cash grants, mainly council and industry-specific ones.

I'm a sole trader. Should I still apply?

Tell us about your business and we'll be straight with you. If nothing fits, we'll say so and point you to the free programs and council grants that might, rather than take a fee.

Which grants do you cover?

Federal, Victorian Government and Victorian council grants for businesses: the 90+ programs listed free on this site, checked daily against official sources.

Is this legal, tax or financial advice?

No. We prepare grant applications for you to approve. We don't do R&D Tax Incentive registrations or other tax claims (those need a registered tax agent). Talk to your accountant about the tax treatment of grant income, and about any change to your business structure.
